2 Dead from E. Coli Outbreak

An outbreak of E. coli suspected to have originated in a distribution center in the United States has killed two and sickened 28 others.  The U.S. Department of Agriculture announced that potentially-contaminated beef from Ashville, New York, was being recalled.  The recalled beef was from a distribution center that supplied it to eight states, although some of the beef may have made its way to additional states.  Those affected by the illness reside in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, California, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York and Vermont.

‘Christmas’ Cut from Tree in Kentucky

The secular waves of America are now washing over the shore.  Governor Steve Beshear has determined that the evergreen tree to be used for decoration at the Capitol lawn this year won’t be called a Christmas tree but, instead, a “holiday tree.”  An administration spokesperson said the decision was made to be inclusive of Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah and New Year’s.  I’m surprised he didn’t throw a Muslim holiday in there, too.  The really sad thing is that the anti-theists in office aren’t capable of reading or understanding the Constitution of the United States, which declares freedom of religion, not freedom from religion.

Detroit Jihad Group Planned to take over US Gov’t

A federal indictment released yesterday told the grim details of a Sunni Muslim who repeatedly used rhetoric to incite Muslims to seize power with violence, establish Shariah Law, take over the United States government and establish a society “where Muslims would rule over non-Muslims.”  The leader of the group, Luqman Ameen Abdullah is quoted in the indictment as saying, “we got to take out the U.S. government.”  Remember that last month a Jordanian Muslim was arrested for a terror plot in Dallas and, in Afghanistan, a U.S. serviceman was shot for drinking water during Ramadan.  Religion of peace indeed.

Obama Declares Swine Flu Emergency

While the decision by President Barack Obama to declare a national emergency over the swine flu doesn’t seem to have been initiated due to a particular event, the illness is placing a toll of those in the United States. Over 200,000 people have been hospitalized with laboratory-confirmed cases since April with over 1,000 deaths due to swine flu. 46 states have declared widespread incidence. Obama’s declaration allows medical providers to act more swiftly and obtain waivers for federal rules governing routine medical operations, according to the article.

Senate Finance Committee Votes for Fifth Abortion-Funding Health Care Bill

A healthcare plan that would include taxpayer-funded abortions is another step closer to becoming reality in the United States. The Senate Finance Committee voted yesterday 14-9 to send a fifth version of a health care bill for vote on the chamber of Congress, which includes a clause for taxpayer-funded abortions. The panel has continued to reject amendments to the bill that would prevent abortion subsidies, including one proposed by Senator Orrin Hatch, which failed to pass in a 13-10 vote.

Magazine Awards Obama Idolatry

The idol worship of Barack Obama has sunk to new lows. While many proclaimed Obama to be a “messiah,” during his presidential campaign, the Magazine Publishers of America has created a new annual award to further drag the country into the idolatry surrounding the current President of the United States: Best Obama Magazine Cover. The winner was Rolling Stone, who portrayed Obama with “quiet charisma” on its cover last July. So charismatic is Obama, in fact, that he has already called for global financial regulations, a world order and condemned those who hold to “old values” about homosexuality. I suppose he’s only an idol if you believe in big government and don’t cling to your Bibles.

Obama Calls for a World Order

With recent calls for one-world governments by Pope Benedict and over 50 heads of state, it should be of no surprise that President Obama has now called for one at the United Nations today. In his speech, Obama remarked, “In an era where our destiny is shared, power is no longer a zero-sum game. No world order that elevates one nation or group of people over another will succeed. That is the future America wants.” How quickly do you think the sovereignty of the United States will be handed over to, and controlled by, a U.N. charter for global governance?
