The religion of peace strikes again. On September 28th, the home of a Christian family in Pakistan was attacked by Islamists for refusing to convert to Islam. The family had lived amongst their Muslim neighbors for years, but over the last few months had begun receiving threatening, anonymous phone calls and letters warning them to convert to Islam, leave their home, or die. Police were notified of the threats but were unable to stop the attack.

Organizers hope to bring thousands of Muslims to Capitol Hill this coming Friday for a day of “Islamic unity.” But who is behind the effort to bring members of the world’s second largest religion to this nation’s capital? A lawyer who represented the terrorists accused in the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center. Let’s hope the religion of peace doesn’t harm any American soldiers for drinking water during the event.

Most of us here in America have no idea what it’s like to be persecuted to the extreme for our belief and hope in Jesus Christ. However, on July 26th in Nigeria, 12 Christians were killed, three of whom were pastors, by an Islamic group known as Boko Haram. The group set fires to churches, abducted Christians and threatened to kill them unless they converted to Islam. Religion of peace, indeed. The three pastors were beheaded, according to media reports.
