Obama Critical of ‘Old Values’ About Homosexuality

President Obama and his family were recently spotted leaving St. John’s Episcopal Church, yet Obama recently delivered the keynote address to the Human Rights Campaign in which he criticized people who hold to “old attitudes” about homosexuality. Obama also praised the passage of the homosexual hate crimes bill in the House last Thursday and said he was preparing to sign the bill in to law once it passes Congress. As followers of Christ, we are to hate the sin and love the sinner, but I have to question Obama’s apparent “buffet-style” belief in God’s word. All scripture is given for inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, according to 2 Timothy 3:16. That’s all scripture, not bits and pieces that are suitable for anyone’s unbiblical beliefs.

Hate Crimes Bill in House Could Extend to Cover Homosexuality

Update:  the hate crimes bill passed in the House.  Now on to the Senate with the expectation that President Obama will sign it into law prior to his keynote address at the Human Rights Campaign dinner, a homosexual advocacy group.

The hate crimes bill currently being voted on in the U.S. House of Representatives has a particular nuance that disturbs some members of the GOP: its coverage is extended to protect sexual orientation. The law, first enacted after the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr., would allow for federal prosecutors to intervene in cases of violence against homosexuals based on their sexual orientation. GOP members consider the religious protections afforded in the bill “flimsy,” and worry that pastors could be prosecuted if the content of their sermons could be tied back to an act of violence against a gay person.

Obama Calls for a World Order

With recent calls for one-world governments by Pope Benedict and over 50 heads of state, it should be of no surprise that President Obama has now called for one at the United Nations today. In his speech, Obama remarked, “In an era where our destiny is shared, power is no longer a zero-sum game. No world order that elevates one nation or group of people over another will succeed. That is the future America wants.” How quickly do you think the sovereignty of the United States will be handed over to, and controlled by, a U.N. charter for global governance?

Surprise, surprise. Congressman Chris Smith of New Jersey is predicting that abortions may increase by one-third under President Obama’s healthcare reform bill. Smith makes his conclusion based on the massive abortion subsidies and mandates in the bills sweeping Congress. Smith also says that Obama and White House personnel are hiding this fact from the public.

As Jesus explained to us in Matthew 24:6, we shall hear of wars and rumors of wars. And a potential war between Israel and Iran has been brewing for months, if not years, due to Iran’s defiant attitude toward their nuclear program. In today’s Wall Street Journal, Bret Stephens contributes an opinion piece explaining how President Obama is pushing Israel to war with Iran through delay after delay in directly addressing Iran.
