90 percent of the country of Argentina is affected by a drought, according to the South American Climatology Lab. Some cities and tourist destinations have decided to begin rationing drinking water, while others have had no rainfall for seven months and, in one area, no rain has fallen since February. Forest fires have also ravaged parts of the area, which has only aggravated an already bad situation.

Matthew 24:7 reads, “For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.”

Almost 40 percent of farmland in Mexico has been affected by drought due to a rainy season that never was this summer in the North American country. Social tensions are building as families are queueing up as early as 4 a.m. to seek water from water trucks. Others have hijacked the water trucks. Mexico pumps all of its water from wells or from an uphill reservoir 80 miles away. 70 percent of Mexico’s water is used about two times faster than it can be replenished by rainfall.
