Update x2:  Drudge Report is now confirming that twelve have died and 31 are wounded as a result of the shooting at Fort Hood.

Update: it’s now been reported that nine have died as a result of the shooting reported below.

A man dressed as a soldier entered an Army post in Fort Hood, Texas, around 1:30 pm local time today and opened fire, killing seven and wounding twelve. One person was arrested.

Man Arrested for Murder of 13-Week Unborn Child

In the last days, the love of many will wax cold (Matthew 24:12). We are undoubtedly living in the last days, my friends. A 37-year-old Los Angeles man has been arrested and placed under $2 million bail, accused of the murder of a 13-week unborn child. Joshua Woodward was arrested by police in the pre-dawn hours yesterday morning after an investigation found “suspicious circumstances of a miscarriage.” Details surrounding the mother are incomplete, other than she is still living. The murdered child is believed to be Woodward’s son, according to the article.

UK Doctor Convicted of Trying to Poison Pregnant Mistress

A doctor in the United Kingdom has been convicted of attempting to poison his pregnant mistress. Dr. Edward Erin, according to the article, had pressured his 33-year-old hospital secretary into having an abortion after it was revealed that she was pregnant with his child. She refused, and later found a yellow powder in the bottom of her cup, which she took to police. Dr. Erin was convicted of two charges of attempting to administer a poison known to cause miscarriages in pregnant women. His mistress did later give birth to a healthy baby.

Los Angeles Woman Shoots Sons, Killing One

The love of many has indeed waxed cold in these last days, just as the New Testament predicted some 2000 years ago. A woman in Los Angeles on Saturday shot her two sons, one five and the other one, killing the five-year-old and critically injuring the other. She called 9-1-1 around 8:30 a.m. local time and told the dispatcher that she had killed her children. When police arrived on the scene, they found the woman, who appeared to be in her mid-20’s, standing on a balcony waving a handgun. She yelled for police to shoot her and that she had “wasted her life.” Police eventually arrested the woman. The five-year-old boy was declared dead at the scene. The one-year-old suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was hospitalized in critical condition.

Chicago Boy Beaten by Three Teens

A 14-year-old Chicago boy from the city’s Edgewater neighborhood was critically injured due to a beating he received by three males yesterday evening, according to an eyewitness. “He was covered in blood. Blood was all over the street.  It was all over his face, arms, and coming from the back of his head. Two little girls and another kid were with him,  holding him down. I called 911, and the police arrived shortly,“ said the witness, who wished to remain anonymous. The unidentified victim is listed in critical condition at Children’s Memorial Hospital undergoing surgery and is reported to have suffered a fractured skull and is clinging to life. No arrests have been made. The love of many has indeed waxed cold in these last days, according to Jesus’ prophetic statement in Matthew 24:12.

Tennessee Man Charged with Double Murder

A Tennessee man, 26-year-old Tarence Nelson, is facing a double-murder charge for killing his girlfriend, 35-year-old Tonya Johnson, who was eight months’ pregnant. The double-murder took place after the couple argued about aborting the unborn child. Authorities say the 35-year-old victim was found in her home by neighbors with multiple gunshot wounds to the abdomen, chest and back of her head. Nelson will be charged with first-degree murder of both his girlfriend and the unborn child, according to detectives. The love of many continues to wax cold in these last days, as prophesied by Jesus in Matthew 24:12.

Teenager Accused of Spiking Drink to Force Abortion

A Pennsylvania teen has been accused of spiking his girlfriend’s drink to cause an abortion. The 17-year-old teen, unnamed in the article, laced his girlfriend’s drink on March 31st with a stolen bovine drug used to induce abortions in cows, an idea given to him by friends. The teen has entered a guilty plea to attempted third-degree murder and aggravated assault. Just as was prophesied in the New Testament, the love of many will wax cold in the last days.

Mom Stabs Two Young Daughters at Home

In Matthew 24:12, Jesus told us that in the last days the love of many would wax cold because of their iniquities. This story is just another example that we are indeed seeing all of the signs prophesied by the Bible as signals that we are living in the last days before His return. A 38-year-old mother in Westminster, California, stabbed and slashed her two daughters, aged three and five. The two young children are hospitalized. The five-year-old victim is in a coma with multiple stab wounds to the chest. Her chances of survival are classified as “grave,” while the three-year-old is in stable condition with multiple slash wounds.

Student Beaten on School Bus

The love of many has waxed cold in these last days on Earth. A 17-year-old student from Bellevue West High School in California was beaten on the way to school Monday aboard the school bus. The student was repeatedly punched while other students on the bus watched and cheered. Some students did intervene to stop the fight. Two teens have been taken into custody and and have been suspended from the school. Charges are pending.

Girl Admits Trying to Poison Dad

The love of many continues to wax colder and colder in these last days. A montana girl, age 15, pleaded guilty before a district judge last week to a lesser charge of simple assault after admitting to making gelatin with lamp oil, then trying to get her father to eat it. The girl was upset of a recent quarrel with her father after he revoked her privileges for missing curfew. The teen has been sentenced to probation until she’s 18-years-old and has been released from the juvenile facility where she has been held since her arrest on June 7.
