Lutheran Bishop Warns to Not Withhold Tithes in Protest

Bishop Mark Hanson, the presiding bishop over the nation’s largest Lutheran denomination, has called for members of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America to not withhold donations to protest the recent acceptance of non-celibate gay and lesbian leaders into the clergy. Hanson fears a funding shortage would hurt the church’s mission. I think if the ELCA would preach the whole gospel instead of making exceptions to the inspired word of God, their members may not want to withhold their contributions.

Folks, churches in America are becoming apostate more rapidly these days, just as was predicted in Paul’s letters of the New Testament. The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America is set to vote on a provision which would allow for the hiring of homosexuals in committed relationships to be pastors of churches in the denomination. The evangelical Lutheran group has lost 500,000 baptized members over the last eight years. With the group’s acceptance of leaders living in direct opposition to God’s word, I expect that trend to continue.

Episcopal Church Membership Declining

(h/t: End Times News. I know this is going to offend some of you, but the truth needs to be wrapped around the article link below.

Episcopal Presiding Bishop Catherine Jefferts Schori said on Monday that 19,000 more members die as Episcopalians than are baptized into the denomination each year, blaming it on the lack of evangelism by the denomination.

Folks, I’m here to tell you this: the Episcopalian denomination is becoming apostate if it’s not already there. With confirmation of gay ministers and clergy who refuse to repent and turn from their lifestyles that are abominations before the Lord, they aren’t following the New Testament. If leaders in the denomination openly and willingly commit sin without repentence, how can their members be expected to live a holy life outlined in the Bible?

Episcopalian Church to Affirm Gay Clergy

The Episcopalian church is now officially apostate.  On Monday, the churched moved toward open acceptance of gays and lesbians in leadership roles in the church.  From the article:

Bishops at the Episcopal General Convention in Anaheim, California, voted 99-45 with two abstentions for a statement declaring “God has called and may call” to ministry gays in committed lifelong relationships.

In Paul’s second letter to the Thessalonians, he said, when referring to the return of Christ, that it would not happen until the apostasy comes first.  In his first letter to Timothy, Paul said in the fourth chapter, “But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons.”

The second coming of Christ is nearer now that it has ever been before.  The signs are all around us.  The restrainer is still with us and until we as Christians are caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, it’s only going to get worse, not better.  Pray for the souls of the lost that their eyes and hearts are opened and the veil is lifted before it’s too late.
