Student government president Steve Macias, aged 19, and student affairs commissioner Monica Guzman, face the reality of losing their positions at Sacramento City College after allowing a pro-life display on campus. The request by the Genocide Awareness Project, was voted on unanimously by the governing body to allow for its presence on campus during the college’s recent celebration of Constitution Day. Two days into the event, however, pro-abortion groups began protesting the display and now they have joined forces with atheists to force a recall of their positions. The results of the recall are pending.

Planned Parenthood Abortion Quotas?

I’ve known for years that Planned Parenthood conducted some legal, but very morally sketchy procedures in their nationwide offices.  After reading this article, they’ve fallen to the bottom of my list of worst organizations.  The former Planned Parenthood director who quit after viewing an abortion through an ultrasound has spoken out about her former employer, saying to WorldNetDaily that she was pressured to meet abortion quotas, to keep her numbers high, and she even pressured her employees to meet abortion goals as well.  To increase revenue, according to Abby Johnson, more abortions were performed and even chemical abortions were performed during the week.

Race for the Cure Funds Planned Parenthood

Jesus warned us to not be deceived, and the deceptive practices of many are all around us in what I believe are these last days.  It was recently learned that the popular Susan B. Komen Race for the Cure, an event to raise funds to fight breast cancer, donated more than $700,000 to Planned Parenthood last year.  One person who donated to the fund requested — and received — a refund from the campaign after learning of their Planned Parenthood donations.  Instead of not running at all in a race that weekend, Steve Crampton has organized his own race, now known as the Race for the Unborn, to benefit the Mississippi personhood amendment that would recognize the unborn through a constitutional amendment.  Way to go, Steve!

Study: Women Say Abortions Cause Mental Health Issues

Don’t expect to hear this in the mainstream media or anywhere else where the choice of aborting one’s child is acceptable behavior.  A new study released by researchers at a university in New Zealand found that 85 percent of women who had undergone abortions say they experienced negative mental health issues.  It was also revealed in the study that women who had abortions had rates of mental health problems “approximately 1.4 to 1.8 times higher” than women who had not had abortions.  I’m sure this study will be tossed aside as garbage because, as the pro-abortionists put it, abortion is all about the life of the mother and choices for her body.  Now, it seems, it’s not only the aborted baby and the mother’s body suffer – it’s mommy’s brain, too.

West Africa Looks to Make Abortion Legal

Ministers from 15 West African countries are calling for the legalization of abortion.  The statement, submitted by the Health Ministers from the Economic Community of West African States said the member states could make abortion “safe” by legalization.  Their claim is that illegal abortions have contributed to high maternal mortality rates.  I suppose they’re not aware of the Montreal woman that nearly died after a botched abortion, the woman who was rushed to the hospital after an abortion and how a second abortion increases risk of premature birth by 93%.

Over One Billion Abortions Performed?

A new report by the Guttmacher Institute, a pro-abortion group, asserts that over one billion abortions have been performed worldwide, according to pro-life activists. Abortion has been available worldwide since 1970, and even more widely available since 1980. If 40 million babies were aborted every year since 1980, then 1.12 billion children have already been killed. The report refuses to condemn China’s one-child policy and forced abortions in the country, but leans on the “safety” of 8.8 million annual abortions in the country and women’s “right” to choose childbearing decisions. What an immoral people we have become.

Montreal Woman Nearly Dies After Botched Abortion

Another week, another emergency following a botched abortion at a clinic. In Montreal, Canada, a 19-year-old woman almost died after having an abortion performed during the second trimester. The woman, who was three months’ pregnant, had an abortion conducted at 9:00 AM last Thursday, after which she experienced heavy bleeding but was sent home from the clinic anyway. Then she and her boyfriend drove to a hospital about 45 minutes away, where she received an emergency operation and a blood transfusion and was told by hospital staff that she may have died had she arrived five minutes later. Again, I thought the legalization of abortion was to prevent deaths from back alley abortions and for so-called “women’s rights”?

Princeton University Pro-Life Display Vandalized

And here I thought all of the hate belonged to the right-wing conservatives. That’s what the left told me, anyway. A pro-life display set up on the grounds of Princeton University was vandalized last week. Images of unborn children were torn from the display and replaced with the words, “debate with words, not soft-focus photography.” In addition, the faces of pregnant women used on the display were cut or torn as were those of unborn babies. All six of the displays on campus, which were mounted on plywood boards, were torn off their mounts during overnight hours.

A healthcare plan that would include taxpayer-funded abortions is another step closer to becoming reality in the United States. The Senate Finance Committee voted yesterday 14-9 to send a fifth version of a health care bill for vote on the chamber of Congress, which includes a clause for taxpayer-funded abortions. The panel has continued to reject amendments to the bill that would prevent abortion subsidies, including one proposed by Senator Orrin Hatch, which failed to pass in a 13-10 vote.
